Hike and Lunch

Join the Friends of LSE in Hong Kong for a hike and lunch in this fine Spring weather on Sunday, April 27!
Our first hike this year will be at Dragon's Back in Shek O, perhaps the finest short hike in Hong Kong, regarded by the Time magazine in 2004 as the "Best Urban Hike in Asia": "The glory of it all is that you're so close to the city, but could hardly feel farther away".
This will be followed by lunch at Black Sheep in Shek O.
Transportation from Central, and back, will be provided.
We welcome first time and seasoned hikers alike. Places are strictly limited, so don't miss this wonderful chance and sign up before space runs out!

Meeting Time & Place: 9:45 am, City Hall, Central (old Star Ferry)
Ending Time & Place: 3:00 pm, City Hall, Central
Cost: $250 per person, incl. transport and lunch
Trail: Dragon's Back (龍脊), from Shek O Road (石澳道) to Big Wave Bay (大浪灣), Hong Kong Trail Section 8
Distance: 8 km / 2 - 2.5 hours
Difficulty: easy to moderate, suitable for first-timers and seasoned hikers alike
Please bring / wear: trainers, bottled water, sunscreen
